belle would be proud.
For me reading is one of those things that I never get tired of. I still love walking into my library or a local bookstore and browsing the rows for something that speaks to me. But as you can imagine, there are a lot of titles out there and it can be a bit overwhelming. I’m constantly looking for new recommendations to narrow my search; so much so that I have an ongoing note in my iPhone that I update anytime someone mentions something they’ve read and loved. Lets just say there are 59 books currently listed…
Since I feel like there are others out there who feel the search for a new book can be a bit overwhelming I wanted to put together a list of what I’ve read this year and recommend. I’ve also listed some titles that I’m looking forward to reading in the remainder of 2016. There is quite a range of titles so pick up your feet, grab a cup of hot coffee, and dive in! (Note: my top five novels are highlighted with asterisks for easy searching).
The Books I’ve Read in 2016
Me Before You
Fates and Furies
All the Light We Cannot See*
The Book Thief*
The Girl Who Kicked the Hornets Nest
We Were Liars
To All the Boys I’ve Loved Before
Valley of the Dolls
The Rosie Project*
Eight Hundred Grapes*
This is Where I Leave You
The Life-Changing Magic of Tidying Up
Harry Potter and the Cursed Child
Bennington Girls are Easy
Tales From the Back Row
The Books I Still Want to Read in 2016
The Thing About Jellyfish

Brain on Fire
Is there anything missing on my list? If so, let me know! My iPhone list is always seeking new titles to add.
P.S. Here’s a post I did back in February of four other books I’ve read and loved for more inspo!
