June Beauty Favorites

Every season is always fun for switching up beauty products but I feel like Summer is when I really get into my groove. Add a bit of color to my face, some blonde bits in my hair, and everything just works so much better. These favorites are ones that I’ve been loving for a while now; most have even showed their faces in a previous monthly round-up. All of these products are also ones that I would definitely purchase again. That’s when ya know you’ve got a good bunch!

Lips

Laura Mercier Lip Glace, Bare Baby

Glossier BalmDotcom, Rose (review here with 20% discount – http://bff.glossier.com/duNsL)

Summer lips means the pinker + glossier the better! I’ve been loving this Laura Mercier lip gloss when I want a pop of shine on top of a balm. It’s sheer, high-shine formula glides on so nicely and is never sticky. It has a light sweet smell – a bit reminiscent of a cupcake – but it’s not too overbearing. When I want a genuine good ol’ chapstick I break out the Glossier Balm. I tend to throw a layer of it on before I get into bed and my lips are still covered come morning. I also keep it at my desk so I have it on hand to fight off that dry AC air.

Eyes

Charlotte Tilbury Eyes to Mesmerize, Mona Lisa

This cream shadow was in my March favorites but it’s still a star in my book. Although I tend to go for warm-toned shades come this time of year, this cool-toned brown is constantly thrown into my makeup bag. I blend it all over my lid and layer on black mascara when I want a look that’s a bit more dramatic, yet still daytime worthy. The shade is amazing for making blue eyes pop as well!

Face

Too Faced Soleil Matte Bronzer, Milk Chocolate

Urban Decay Naked Skin Concealer, Light Warm

Diorskin Nude Air Serum Foundation, Light Beige (review here)

Notice a trend here? Light formulas and warmth. This Dior foundation is still #1 in my book (although I have a contender in my arsenal now *cough cough tomorrow’s post*). It provides such great coverage with just a few drops. Mixed with my Urban Decay concealer, I’m set with a glowy yet light base. Since my face is usually lighter than my body I’ve been loving this Too Faced bronzer as a way to warm things up. I apply it with a large fluffy brush all over the edges of my face, down my neck, and even on my décolleté. The matte coloring is perfect for not making you look like an orange disco ball and it smells like chocolate. I mean, c’mon.

Another favorite that doesn’t fall into this category necessarily – but makes a sneak appearance in the last photo below – is a nail color. I’ve been loving the OPI x Hello Kitty range and “It’s my bow” is a gorgeous bubblegum pink. It’s bright, but not neon, and goes on gorgeously with three coats.

Are any of these products in your June makeup bag? I have a feeling July will be one of my favorite round-ups…
