Spring Fragrance Picks

I find that Spring is the best time of year for fragrance. The spicy notes of winter make way for fresher ones, and the breezy winds go perfectly with a light scent. Perfume is one of those things that remain fairly signature for each and every person. For me, I like a scent that’s delicate and fresh with a bit of a masculine undertone. I want a scent that’s slightly there but not overbearing – especially with living in a city where you’re in close quarters to a lot of people. No one wants a huge whiff of freesias early in the morning…

Elizabeth + James Nirvana White

If I had to pick my go-to/wear everyday/can’t go without perfume it’d be this one.

Notes: delicate peony, chic muguet, tender musk

Style: feminine scent with dark sophistication

Marc Jacobs Daisy

When I want something super feminine and playful, Daisy is the perfect counterpart. I love this one for daytime.

Notes: strawberry, violet leaves, ruby red grapefruit, gardenia, violet petals, jasmine petals, musk, vanilla, white woods

Style: a sparkling floral bouquet, spirited and fresh, wrapped in comfort and warmth

Marc Jacobs Daisy Eau So Fresh

This is like Daisy’s bubbly younger sister: more fruity, more fun! I like this when the weather is a bit warmer since it is a bit sweeter than my other choices.

Notes: natural raspberry, grapefruit, pear, violet, wild rose, apple blossom, musks, cedarwood, plum

Style: flirty scent of flowers and the cheerful sweetness of fruits. The light, woody base infuses a subtle but sharp glimmer of musk

Jessica Simpson Fancy

This one takes me back. It’s what I wore all through college, and it somehow makes me feel comfortable. It’s a bit muskier than my other scents so it’s perfect for a night out (bonus is that guys seem to love it).

Notes: pear, apricot, red berries, gardenia, jasmine, almond, caramel, sandalwood, vanilla, amber

Style: oriental fragrance with a hint of vanilla
