Weekend Update

This week is another one that just got away from me – and that left me feeling uber drained. Thankfully the somewhat gloomy weather that’s outside has me craving relaxation. Cue a Ben Rector playlist, re-reading LC’s beauty book, and having a mini pampering session.

Last night was spent with girlfriends and an amazing dinner cooked by a local chef. It was my friend Abby’s birthday and we dined on a Spanish feastTostada de Setas y Alioli (toasted baguette with sauteed mushrooms and a saffron aoili), Caballa en Escabeche y Patatas a la Riojana (roasted potatoes with the most delicious chorizo and fresh herbs), and a chicken and seafood paella (loaded with mussels, clams, and saffron rice). Things got even more delicious when the dinner was topped off with homemade strawberry pie and caramel flan. Yes, my mouth’s watering again!

This was all part of an amazing concept called KitchenSurfing, where you can hire a chef to come into your home to cook a delicious meal. They can do anything from dinner parties, to cocktail hours, to a beautiful brunch – and everything’s taken care of! Without having to cook, clean, serve, etc, it makes for a super relaxing evening.

I posted some updates to snapchat and here are two quick snaps of the night:

Chef Terrell Danley is the best ya’ll.

Now off to enjoy the rest of the weekend: a brunch with friends, lots of wine, and even some baseball. Hope yours is lovely as well!
