June Favorites: Beauty

It’s the end of June. Which means August is just around the corner. Which means autumn is right after that. Then it’s Thanksgiving, right? Oof, gobble gobble.

June was a month of finally trying some blogger cult classics for me. Somehow this month also brought me into a consistent rhythm of the products that I am truly loving and sticking with for a while (or at least until the end of Summer). Since there were so many favorites for me this month I’m going to be dividing them into three separate posts: beauty, non-beauty, and body products. So. Many. Great. Ones.

Today’s favorites are the ones that I’m most excited about in the beauty department. Really, the cream of the crop…

The Balm’s Mary-Lou Manizer This is hands down the best highlighter I’ve ever found. Quote me on it. I use a fluffy brush if I’m looking for an effortless glow to my cheek bones, or I apply it with my fingertips when I want something a little more intense. I also use the highlighter up on my brow bone and in my tear ducts for a great overall glow. The coloring is a perfect honey hue, which is a major bonus for all skin tones. I will definitely be picking this up again once this pot runs dry (which is entirely possible soon with the amount that I’ve been using it lately)

Sally Hansen Insta-Dri Nail Polish Who has time for polish to try when jumping between the cabanas and happy hour? Not this girl. I love these polishes because they have great color pay-off while drying so quickly. Literally, apply, wave your hands around aimlessly for a minute (anyone else do this?), and boom, dry. The brush itself is also a bit wider so it’s perfect for the girl on the go. I have the colors Sonic Bloom on my nails right now (shown) and In Prompt Blue on my toes (which is this beautiful blue) – I seem to constantly rotate through them, which is fine by me as they’re under $4 a pop.

Lush’s Bubblegum Lip Scrub This is one of those products that I’ve seen pop up everywhere on the blog feeds, and that I knew I needed to try. When I came back from the beach I needed a major hydration overall with my skin – especially my lips. This is the tastiest scrub and is made from all natural ingredients, which I love. I apply this nightly and can lick the remainder off for a little sugar high before I jump into bed. Follow it up with a bit of my Eos lip balm, and everything is perfectly hydrated for my morning lip color. As if I needed another excuse to have more sugar in my day…

Benefit’s They’re Real! Push-Up Liner I actually wasn’t super impressed with this liner when I first tried it out, but I’ve been finding myself grabbing it daily. I’m still trying to get a hang of the applicator but it’s very easy to control and draw a straight line on my lid. I usually tend to apply this over my regular Maybelline liquid liner to smooth things out and give a much deeper color payoff. I’m not sure if I’ll pick up another bottle or will move towards investing in the ever-envious Tom Ford liner. Benefit also just released a few color shades so I’m definitely interested in trying those out!

Covergirl’s Lip Perfection Lipstick in Spellbound This has been carted around in my handbag for a while now and it always seems to be a go-to during summer. I love applying this on my lips when I want a touch of hot pink (it reminds me a bit of Nars Schiap). I do find that it’s a bit drying so I usually layer it with my Kate Moss lip color to get that perfect sheen.

What are you loving this month? Anything on my list that’s on yours? Can’t wait to share my other favorites over the next few days!
