Happy Monday, all! I had a great weekend with lots of exploring around the city. One thing I love about living in DC is that there’s always something new to see and do. You think you know an area like the back of your hand, but then a new restaurant opens or a new event pops up and switches things around. On Saturday we went to one of my favorite city areas – Union Market – for some shopping, eating, and drinking. I popped into Salt + Sundry for some treats then indulged in some fish and chips, white wine, and salted caramel ice cream. Yum. Afterwards we went over to the National Portrait Gallery to see their new “Eye Pop” exhibit and wander the museum a bit. The night was topped off with some drinks at a local bar and lots of OITNB binge watching.
Yesterday was a gorgeous day weather-wise, and the perfect time to spend the day with Faith. We went to my new favorite coffee shop called La Colombe and walked around the area – which completed in finding the perfect white wall for photos. After snagging some lunch, we worked on our plans for our Pittsburgh trip to see One Direction later this summer (we fangirl over them). At night I went to a friends for an amazing dinner and to catch up a bit.
It’s set to be a really busy workweek – and only four days long – so the weekend will be here before we know it! I’m excited to share all of the updates as they come along.
How was your weekend? Do anything exciting? Have a good week!
