Pastels with a Pop!

Easter is almost here and comes with it are pretty pastels, grassy egg hunts, and all of the chocolate you can eat! I feel like it’s just norm in our culture that holidays revolve around the different foods we eat during the celebrations, and I’m okay with that. This weekend I’ll be traveling to my sister Kelly and brother-in-law Andrew’s house to celebrate. It’ll be their first time hosting a family holiday and we’ve got a packed house (including my puppy brother Cooper and his sister Nittany – who’s Andrew’s family pet).

Our holidays are usually a bit more casual with my family. Jeans and a tee? You’re set. Although I’ll probably throw on a skirt for Easter dinner, this outfit is the perfect combination of festive and casual. I’ve never been a huge fan of pastel colors but they have definitely grown on me this year. This outfit was also perfect for strolling Georgetown last weekend – even though it was freezing and super windy. Sorry for the frizzy hair.

I snagged this blush shirt from TJMaxx last week and it’s so easy to wear. It has a triangle cut-out in the back and can be dressed up or down depending on your plans. I also eyed this floral scarf at J.Crew Factory last year and had to have it. It’s the perfect pop of color and pairs great with the tone of the blouse. I also wear it a lot with black-and-white stripes and it is so easy to pattern play with. Add on some booties and you’re ready to take on family time and sugar rushes!

How are you all celebrating this year? Hope it’s a good one!
