Weekly Favorites: Week of 3.22.15.

We’re officially in the end of March, which means the true Spring months are right around the corner. Despite the colder temperatures today I’m already feeling like the warmer season has arrived. Saturday for me was spent at Shamrockfest – which was five stages of great music. I got to see one of my favorite bands from high school (Reel Big Fish) and from college (Go Go Gadget) so it was a flashback overall. Speaking of flashbacks, the weather was a ‘balmy’ 60-degrees so I was able to go coatless for majority of the day. Win win.

Yesterday was spent cleaning up my apartment, taking outfit photos with Lydia, and then topping off the day with margaritas + tacos. It was the perfect mix of productivity and relaxation.

My favorites this week continue on that note and the excitement of changing seasons:

[Hearing] Indie-Pop Lately I’ve been finding myself listening to my ‘Late March’ playlist on Spotify. It’s a mix of artists like The 1975, Youngblood Hawke, and Betty Who. ‘Octahate‘ by Ryn Weaver has been on repeat with its catchy and energetic beat.

[Feeling] Sleep-Deprived Two nights of <8 hours of sleep has me sluggish today. Anytime I stay out late during weekend nights I find myself still getting up around 8 a.m.. I’m looking to get back into the rhythm of things this week so I have enough energy for the upcoming weekend. Insert lots of my Netflix queue and early bedtimes.

[Spending] Spring Shopping Kate Spade Saturday currently is offering 60% off ofeverything; my favorite sunglasses brand Knockarounds introduced their new Mai Tais line and I’ve already got my eye on theglossy tortoise shellframes;Madewellis offering 25% off everything with code ‘WARMUP’; how cute is thispineapples casefrom Sonix? Needed.

[Thinking] (and waiting in anticipation) Summer Travels I just submitted my PTO for my summer vacations and already can’t wait. My family and I are planning to spend a week in the Outer Banks (which is easily my favorite vacation spot) and I’m looking to travel out to LA later this summer to visit my friend Jeannette. Can these trips happen yet?

[Needing] More Movies I’m the first to admit that I’ve never really been a movie person. However, I’ve been starting a list of the ‘must see’ films that I’ve been hearing about. Friday night I watched ‘The Grand Budapest Hotel’ and it was phenomenal! I also have my eye on the new Cinderella movie that’s currently in theaters. Have you seen any movies lately that I should add? Let me know!

Hope your weekend was a great one! Here’s to another week ahead.
