Thankfully the sun decided to pop its head out this weekend before Sunday hit us with an icy blast. On Saturday I had a chance to attend a Diptyque fragrance event at Nordstrom in Pentagon City. This outfit was the perfect mix for being able to run around the city like a crazy person, while attempting to not look homeless as I hung out with these uber stylish (and amazing) blogging ladies. I can’t wait to share with you the amazing products I snagged while there – look for a post later this week!
I have been on the hunt for a loose-fitting short-sleeved shirt that I could throw on and run out the door. I snagged this black-and-white striped number from H&M for – wait for it – $12.99. Its high and low design makes it extremely easy to pair with skinnies or leggings. Black and white to me is always a classic color combination that I’ve been stocking up on lately. Its versatility is hard to beat. I paired the top with my black blazer to fight the chill and these super soft jeans meant for hopping from one place to the next.
Pink lipstick + a Kendra Scott inspired necklace in the same hue added a pop of color to this mod combination. During the day I had on tan ankle booties but wanted to switch things up as we went into the night. Introduce the four-inch heels that add a boost of sass. To put things into perspective, a few glasses of champagne were consumed before this shoot in order to bare the cold. Lydia was also an amazing photographer who basically held my hand as we waded through the snow to get the right shot. The sunshine was high enough over the dumpster that things turned out glowy + the passer-by runners got a good giggle. The things we do for fashion…
