For me, pink hues have always been a staple in my makeup collection. I feel like they have the widest range out of any other shade, while still being easy to wear. To me, pale pinks can be feminine and natural while bright pinks are fun and flirty.
With the February month approaching I’ve been ramping up the rosy colors in my day-to-day face.
- Lips: This hot pink Lip Perfection lipstick in “Spellbound” by Covergirl has been my new favorite find. Not only does the color pack a punch, the formula itself creates a stain on your lip – which is one of my necessary qualities in a lipstick. I know when I apply it in the morning it’ll be on through my coffee break and into the afternoon. As this is more of a matte color I usually layer on my NYX Butter Gloss in “Strawberry Parfait”. These glosses are my favorite drugstore finds and come in a range of colors. The gloss itself isn’t sticky, smells great, and leaves my lips hydrated.
- Face: I’ve been trying to land on a great blush but have been using this mineral formula from BellaPierre. I was thankful to snag this from a giveaway at work but have found it in places like Marshalls and TJMaxx. It tends to give me a natural and healthy-looking flush while being talc and paraben free. Another NYX favorite: this Born to Glow Liquid Illuminator is my favorite thing to create a glow in the colder months. Just a swipe on my cheekbones is enough to add some luminosity into my makeup.
- Nails: Essie’s “Ballet Slippers” has always been one of my go-to colors. Within my nail polishes it seems almost as a neutral color – right up there with my tans, blacks, and whites. The soft pink looks natural and is easy enough to mix with my winter whites.
- Body: My go-to daily perfume is “Seduction” by Victorias Secret. Compared to their other extremely sweet scents, this perfume has a more warm and musky scent. I like to think of it as a cologne with a feminine twist.
