Spring Fling

Spring Fling 2

Spring has always been one of my favorite seasons for fashion. Not only does it bring Fashion Week, it also allows the ability to dig your lighter layers out of the closet and mix-and-match your season pieces. I feel like I've been building my Spring wish list for a while now. Maybe it's the hope that warmer weather is on its way but I feel like the timing has been well overdue.

This season I'm looking forward to investing in some more statement accessories to throw into my closet - as well as some of my favorite timeless pieces:

one. bucket bag These bags seem to be all the rage in accessorizing lately. Not only are they super easy to pair things with, they also are very practical in carrying around your essentials. I'd love to snag a tan version that I can throw my camera, wallet, and beauty staples in to walk around the city.

two. wide brimmed fedora I have a feeling these types of hats will be my BFF for weekend brunching. They're super easy to throw over last-night's hair and still look pulled together.

three. ear jackets Earrings are one of my favorite accessories and I'm loving this trend. The ear jackets are super light-weight and make a statement without being too over-dressed. The delicate nature of the earrings also work perfectly for spring-time and work perfectly with a messy ponytail.

four. floral skirt Longer skirts in the midi and maxi range are my favorite Spring + Summer outfit pieces. They can be paired with a graphic tee and flats for the day, or with a lace tank and strappy heels for night. Florals are perfect for this time of year and help keep this girly silhouette just as-is.

five. loose striped tops Stripes have seemed to be my weakness lately. This navy-and-white number just screams that it wants to be paired with my white skinny jeans and a gold necklace. The loose fit is also great to complement a pencil skirt and heels for dressing it up.

six. boyfriend jeans I bought my first pair of boyfriend jeans last year and haven't looked back. They've swiftly become my weekend staple and are perfect for coffee dates and errand-running. I'm looking to invest in a darker distressed pair this year to add to my collection.

seven. colored statement bag I always seem to buy neutral bags but this season I want to jazz things up a bit. This tangerine structured bag is a great pop of color and would be so fun to pair with! I'm still deciding between a larger-sized version or even just a small clutch for going out with.

eight. blush heels I really missed the mark in getting a blush coat this winter (a la Julia Engel) so I'm carrying my craving into the next months. These shoes are perfect for a date night or shopping with the girls.
